Content Internship

Reclaem · Amsterdam · 4 to 5 days a week · Start ASAP · 5 to 6 months

We're looking for someone to take our social media and properly run it. Out in cafés with a camera some days, behind our accounts the rest.

Barista Cacao is served in over 150 cafés and we're expanding into new countries. The people behind those bars are the reason it works, and almost nobody is telling their story yet. That's the gap.

What you're really doing

Coffee has the morning. Wine has the evening. Cacao doesn't have a moment yet, and finding it is the job.

Most of the day you're half somewhere else. On your phone, thinking about the next thing, already halfway out the door in your head. But there are bits where you're not. Properly there, not going anywhere. That's what we made this for.

At home that's the couch at nine, or a full kitchen, making enough for everyone. In a café it's shorter, but it counts just the same: you sat down, you're not on your laptop.

So that's what you're looking for when you film. Not a nice cup on a nice table. A person who's properly there, with a cup in their hands.

The job

Go to cafés and shoot. The bar, the people, the drink being made, the barista who's good at it. We use the footage, and we send the café their own cut. Making our partners look good is half of this.

Run our Instagram. All of it. Your own work alongside the assets our creative lead makes, and you own the rhythm.

Talk to people properly. "Thanks! x" is not a reply. We speak in sentences and we try to actually connect, which means saying something only a person who really looked would say. Their name, the thing on the counter behind them. Same under our partners' posts as our own: warmly, about them, never turning their post into an ad for us.

Point a camera at us. There's an hour a week with Morris and Daan where you bring the questions, but mostly it's you catching things as they happen. A delivery going wrong. A café saying yes. An argument about a label. We want the getting-there, not the finished result. This year only happens once, and right now nobody is filming it.

Start our TikTok. We don't have one. It's yours to shape, but not for views. Coffee TikTok is baristas watching baristas, and those are the people who decide what a café serves. Behind the bar, not lifestyle.

Tell us what you saw. You'll be in more cafés than anyone here. If someone's making it wrong, or asking something we can't answer, that comes back to us. You never sell or promise anything. You just notice.

What you're not doing

Campaign photography, product shoots, brand identity, packaging. That's Natalia, our creative lead.

What's yours is the day to day: everything that has to go out this week. You'll get her references and her guardrails, and we'll still expect it to look like us. Fast is fine, off-brand isn't.

The pace is a handful of things a week, mostly shot on a phone in under an hour. But quick doesn't mean throwaway. We care less about polish than about whether it feels warm. Three things a week that feel like something beat five that fill the feed.

You

  • You've worked in hospitality, or you're properly at home in a café. You can read a busy morning and know when notto film.
  • You actually enjoy this. Not just willing to hold a phone in someone's face, you like it. The real skill is being comfortably a bit annoying: filming through a busy morning, asking a barista to do it once more, keeping the camera up when everyone else would have put it away.
  • You can make someone relax on camera. We'd weight this highest. Warmth doesn't get added in the edit.
  • You have an eye. Natural light, real hands, a bit of mess, caught rather than staged. If you could crop the cup out and the shot still works, it's the wrong shot.
  • You write like a person, not like a brand account.
  • You sort things out. There's no layer underneath you here. When something doesn't work, you find a way round it rather than waiting to be unblocked.
  • You're on social because you live there, not because you researched it.
  • CapCut, Canva or Adobe. Whatever gets it done.

Honestly

Almost everything you make will go out. We're not sitting on an archive. We're short of content, and your work gets used. That's the good part.

The rest: you'll be in a café at 8am. Some days it's a wheelbarrow at an event and we'll still expect you to make it fun. And we're a small team, which means there's nobody behind you to hand things to. If something's broken we'd much rather hear it from you. Just bring it with a first idea attached.

What you get

You'll work directly with me. I'm Morris, one of the founders, and I've shaped this brand from the first idea to where it is now. We'll sit down every week, and you'll get the thinking behind the decisions, not just a list of things to make.

Beyond that: a brand people already care about, growing faster than we can document. A channel to start from zero, and a body of work that's clearly yours. You'll be in the room when things get decided, not briefed afterwards. Endless good cacao. Compensation: €500 per month, travel covered.

How to apply

Email morris@reclaem.com. No resume needed. Three things:

  1. 30 to 60 seconds of you interviewing someone. A friend, anyone, filmed on a phone. Bad audio is fine. We're only watching whether the other person relaxes.
  2. Two or three links that show your taste. Your work, a moodboard, or posts you'd love to make for us.
  3. Write us one reply. A café we work with just posted their first cacao latte and they're proud of it. What do you write underneath?

Use AI if you like, just tell us where. If you can't explain a choice in what you send us, don't send it.

We get a lot of messages, so if something on that list is missing we won't manage to reply. Send all three and you'll hear from us either way.
