How to make Barista Cacao.
With the right tools and a little practice, you can create both warm and iced versions of Barista Cacao. Follow these steps to get started — it’s easier than it looks.
For a Warm Barista Cacao
- Mix a scoop of the cacao blend with 40-45ml of warm water (around 65-75°C) in your cup. Stir until smooth, aiming for a consistency similar to an espresso shot, which will allow the liquid to blend seamlessly with the milk and enhance your latte art.
- Froth your favorite milk to 60-65°C. For a latte-like experience use 150ml and for a cappuccino or stronger experience use 120ml or less.
- Add the frothed milk.
For a Pour-over Iced Barista Cacao
- Mix a scoop of the cacao blend with 40-45ml of warm water (around 60°C) in a pitcher.
- Pour the cacao mixture slowly over a glass filled with ice and 150-200ml of chilled milk. Let the cacao flow through, creating a visually appealing effect.

It combines ceremonial-grade South American cacao with a blend of functional mushrooms, organic coconut blossom sugar, coconut milk powder, organic cinnamon, and Himalayan salt to deliver a rich, well-balanced beverage.
How is Barista Cacao different from regular hot chocolate?
Barista Cacao starts with an exceptional flavour—rich, complex, and naturally balanced. Using cacao varieties like Arriba Nacional from Ecuador and Trinitario from Venezuela, it offers subtle hints of fruit and flower, a taste that reflects the unique environments where these cacaos are grown. The blend is infused with carefully selected mushrooms, chosen not only for their functional benefits but also for their earthy flavor, which complements and balances the natural acidity of the cacao.
Unlike traditional hot chocolate, which is often rich, heavy, and contains a lot of sugar, Barista Cacao uses 75% less sugar, sweetened with organic coconut flower sugar that has a lower glycemic index. The result is a drink that’s lighter on the stomach and more refined in flavour.
